Girl’s Weekend in Boulder & Denver

Between birthdays and bachelorette parties, these two northern cities in Colorado are the perfect destinations to celebrate at! With a balanced mixture of outdoorsy activities and killer restaurants & breweries to hit up after, you won’t be bored with this diverse list to keep the crew busy during a fun weekend getaway.

Boulder, CO

EAT & DRINK :

·      Salt : A great dinner spot for a girl’s night with wine & good food. Right on the famous Pearl Street of Boulder.

·      The Buff : AMAZING breakfast/brunch spot. Get there early if you want to beat the crowd.

·      Avery Brewing Co. : A great brewery to hang out either inside or outside with great appetizers. Within walking distance in Twin Lakes, a great mini hike if you’re wanting some fresh air and to meet a lot of local doggos.

·      Bitter Bar : Boulder doesn’t have a crazy nightlife scene, but we were still able to hit up some cool spots for drinks to celebrate everyone’s birthdays on a Friday night! This place is a good place to get martinis with the girls.

·      Tahona : Next up on our personal birthday bar crawl, Tahona is more of a younger crowd (like, below the drinking age) but it’s a fun place to dance and take tequila shots!

·      License No 1 : Located under Hotel Boulderado, a great hidden bar for drinks.

·      Pearl Street Bar : Go here for a drink if you’re wanting to stay out til 2 am and relive your college days.

·      Sweet Cow Ice Cream : Amazing ice cream to have post-hike, I’m still craving it.

·      Kasa Sushi : OKAY I am obsessed with this place. Maybe it’s because I love Asian cuisine, but also the décor is beautiful and the owner was so sweet!

WHAT TO DO :

·      JonBennet Ramsey’s House : So this one is a bit morbid, but if you’re as crime obsessed as us, this is an interesting drive-by to do. A family does indeed live there today so be sure to respect their space from a distance! It’s located at 749 15th Street in Boulder.

·      Rising Tide Tattoo Shop : If you’re into getting a more permanent memento from your trip, check out Rising Tide Tattoo for a clean space that accepts walk-ins. My artist was @nam.naminson (on Instagram) and he was very accommodating when drawing up what I was looking for!

·     Lookout Gulch : Nothing is better than having a local to take you around. This lookout spot is on Flagstaff mountain and a great photo-op spot and easy to drive to. Be careful of the ice when walking to the outermost point.

·      Chatauqua Hike : You can find this easy 1.2 mile hike on the All Trails app! Again, be careful if it’s snowy or icy as you may take a tumble down the hill *ahem, Jess*

·     North Boulder Driver : One of the best things about Colorado are all the amazing views you can see from just driving around.

·      Rocket Fizz : I know this is a chain place, but located on Pearl Street near Kasa, a candy shop that’s fun to browse and filled with many interesting items!

Denver, CO

WHERE TO STAY:

·      Ramble Hotel : Quiet but still prime spot in RiNo district, stay here if you are looking to share a cute bunk bed room with your bestie.Avg. Nightly Stay: $200-$250

·      AIRBNB : This Airbnb holds 16+ guest with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for an epic bachelorette party weekend in Denver- best options for large parties wanting to all stay together! $200-$250

·      The Source Hotel : Situated in the ever trendy RiNo district, this unique hotel inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design is above the market hall with a variety of vendors  below to enjoy a range of food/beverages. $150-$250

EAT & DRINK :

·      Avanti Food and Beverage : Started our Sunday funday here after brunch, though it was an extremely HOT day it was a fun spot to sit on the rooftop patio and have some drinks with the girls.

·      Viewhouse Eatery :  The ultimate Sunday funday spot, where we ended our day! There were sport/food competitions going on, as well as a fun spot out back with seats reminiscent of tire swings!

·      Coopers Lounge : Inside the famous Union Station and located on the 2nd floor, this spot was more elegant in design and attire than most spots in Denver- we had happy hour before heading to dinner.

·      Root Down : Awesome spot to have brunch, with a private room for large parties- highly recommend the fried chicken and goat cheese biscuit!

·      Linger : Known for their small plates, this spot used to be a mortuary with a great rooftop patio! Don’t be afraid to try the small plates with crickets and ants infused in their meals either!

·     Stowaway : This cozy café is a perfect spot to grab your morning coffee and a light breakfast or lunch!

·      Cart Driver : Auto- inspired and extremely intimate, this is THE spot to grab a combo of their wood fired pizza and oysters!

·      10 Barrel Brewery : A relaxed atmosphere in the heart of RiNo district, we enjoyed lunch here after our hike, as well as some delicious beer.

WHAT TO DO :

·      Transform Workout Class : Our Bride loves to sweat before a Sunday funday so we took a private class that kicked our butts but made us all laugh. Think mini dance party mixed with a stair stepper type workout!

·      Hike Red Rocks : Get here earlier in the morning to beat the crowds, an easy hike to accompany everyone and a cool way to experience the amphitheater outside of a concert setting!
