Miami, FL

Why do Midwest girls love Miami? It means an oasis away from those brutal winters, pale skin, and dire need to drink away the winter blues. Searching for sun? Look no further than Miami for a couple’s trip, (adult) family trip, or the best of all, a girls’ trip. We spent 4 days soaking up the sun, food, and a lot of booze and are only advising the spots we have enjoyed when escaping the snow.

WHERE TO STAY:

Fountainblue- If you are looking to party, stay here. Their Amenities are INSANE and they have an adult only pool with cabanas and a club-like vibe. Expect to chill here less than any other place we recommend, but if you’re a party parent- you do find children running around- which is weird in our eyes.

Nobu- Heaven on earth with beach access and a 2nd story pool designated for Nobu guest only. Been to Malibu? The Malibu Farm also has a spot here and best of all…. A Nobu restaurant (plan to make reservations a month in advance or just order room service like we did tipsy).

The Betsy- Will report back more in a month after I stay with my parents while lauren is trapezing in Asia. This has a more boutique/intimate feel and is 3 miles away from fountainblue + Nobu. Personally, I am very pumped about this one for the live-in golden retrievers to snuggle every morning.

WHERE TO EAT/DRINK :

Cecconi’s-  Inside of Soho Beach House, ask to sit out on the patio with the string lights surrounding you. Truly a great atmosphere and delicious pasta- you can’t go wrong with any of their choices!

Nobu- All of us have spent plenty of time in NYC and always enjoy Nobu. Though we didn’t dine in, their crispy rice or the yellowtail sashimi are so mouthwatering AND fresh.

Malibu Farm- Ate here for lunch everyday as its located in the Nobu Hotel, everything on the menu is great…. BUT the poke bowl and the chicken avocado flatbreads were our favorite!

The Wave at 1 Hotel- Only had drinks here, but regardless if it’s dinner/snacks/drinks, check this space out as the vibe takes you straight to Tulum, Mexico!

27 restaurant- An adorable, quaint home with seating in each “room” to enjoy small plates with your party. The Kimchi fried rice was great, but of course spicy- so be prepared!

Swan- The only reservation for dinner during our stay was at 10 PM- and it was so worth it. Think club atmosphere all while sitting in your seat and dancing (ask to sit out on the patio!). Their espresso martini was the best of the trip!!

WHAT TO DO:

DRINK AND SOAK UP THE SUN 😊

But there is also some great shopping (check out Aviator Nation & Kith….)
